Our Journey
From a Small Workshop to a Global Heritage Brand
Amit Art Exports began in 1985 as a small family workshop in the bylanes of Jodhpur's Basni Industrial Area. Founded by Master Craftsman Mohan Lal Soni, the workshop started with just three artisans and a singular mission: to preserve the dying art of traditional Rajasthani furniture making.
What set us apart from the beginning was our uncompromising commitment to authenticity. While the industry increasingly moved toward machine-made furniture, we held fast to hand-carving techniques passed down through generations. Every piece was treated as a work of art, not just a product.
Over the decades, our reputation spread beyond Rajasthan. International designers, hoteliers, and discerning homeowners discovered the unique beauty of our craftsmanship. Today, we work with over 500 master artisans across Jodhpur, exporting to 40+ countries, yet our core philosophy remains unchanged: every piece must carry the soul of its maker.

Our Craft
The Art of Hand-Carving
The heart of Amit Art Exports beats in our carving workshop, where master artisans transform raw wood into intricate works of art. Using tools that have been refined over centuries - chisels, gouges, mallets, and hand planes - our craftsmen create patterns that tell stories of Rajasthan's royal heritage.
Each artisan specializes in specific techniques passed through their family lineage. Some excel at floral motifs inspired by Mughal gardens, others at geometric jali patterns from Rajput architecture, and still others at figurative carving depicting mythological scenes.
